How did it feel to spend so much time observing a photograph and then making art based on the photo?

There was definitely a connection between me and the person.

Write a caption for the portrait that you made. It can say something about the person or something about your feelings making the portrait.

Dora died while fighting with a resistance group at the age of 19.

What did you like and dislike about the art experience?

I disliked the memories. I liked how even if it wasn’t perfect, a decent facsimile of Dora’s face did emerge from just looking at the shadows.

What do you think you will remember about this experience? Why?

The idea of making art without trying to go for the minute details – just by following the overall big picture.
