Location New York,NY,United States
Date February 23rd , 2018

How did it feel to spend so much time observing a photograph and then making art based on the photo?

It was odd because I looked at the photo very deeply but didn’t actually see it very well since we were only focused on light and dark.

Write a caption for the portrait that you made. It can say something about the person or something about your feelings making the portrait.

Survivor, Kizito Kalima

What did you like and dislike about the art experience?

My only dislike was that we couldn’t do more. I found the process very relaxing and cathartic.

What do you think you will remember about this experience? Why?

The joy of getting my hands messy. The surprise of turning the page over.
