We’re All a Part of History
Give your students the opportunity to learn about their own history.
Students will gather stories and photos from a family member or another subject. They will interview their subject about a transformative life experience. For example, maybe someone immigrated to the United States from another country, or lived through a war, or was a victim of discrimination. The experience may have even been a positive one; the only criterion is that the experience was life changing.
In delving into their family stories, students will be able to learn more about their own lives, and see that many of us have common experiences, and that we are all a part of history.
