The Foundation of Jewish Heritage in Poland
We are pleased to highlight the ongoing accomplishments of The Foundation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, an organization that restores and protects Jewish monuments around Poland. One of their restoration projects focused on the Renaissance Synagogue in Zamosc, which reopened in 2011. Earlier this year, we held a Memory Project exhibit at this beautiful seventeenth-century synagogue and hope to continue holding workshops and exhibits at monuments the Foundation has restored. The Foundation is working on many other projects throughout Poland which you can read about on their website. It’s exciting for us to see this commitment in Poland to examining and honoring Jewish history and culture, and we are happy to contribute to this movement.
