Announcing our first Portrait of the Month

Announcing our first Portrait of the Month. Each month we will feature a Remembrance Portrait made in a workshop or submitted to us online. These portraits enable all of us to remember and connect with someone. Some of our subjects were murdered during the Holocaust, some survived, and some were rescuers. You can see their photos and read their stories in our Subject Gallery.

This month's featured portrait is of Gerard Horst Meyerfeld, a German Jew who escaped to France and survived in the French Underground. It was created by Kaleb H., a student at Park Vista High School in Florida.
