Exciting News from Upstate New York
We have some exciting news to share. We recently learned that Messages from Survivors was central to award-winning programming in the New York state library system. Galway Public Library in the Southern Adirondacks, received the NYLA Innovative Programming Award for the presentations they put on in conjunction with the MFS exhibit. Library Director Debra Flint wrote:
"‘Messages From Survivors’ is an intense storytelling exhibit, with poignant, difficult stories to share, and we were proud to bring it to our community.....we wanted to promote and showcase that listening, understanding, respect, tolerance, and kindness can affect and promote change, help us avoid more violence, and remind people where radical views can lead us, if we are not careful…."
