March 2019 Portrait of the Month — Ita Grynbaum

Ita Grynbaum

March's Portrait of the Month features Ita Grynbaum. It was created at a workshop held for students from PS/IS 128 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York. Prior to their visit to the museum, the students had watched Finding Kalman and learned about the Memory Project. At the museum, they were excited to meet Roz after seeing her in the film. They also got to visit with a Holocaust survivor, which was an important first for them. They will continue to learn about the Holocaust this spring at school.
