Auschwitz Jewish Center
Oświęcim, Poland
November, 2012 - January, 2013
On November 13, 2012, a brand new Polish-English Memory Project exhibit launched at the Auschwitz Jewish Center in Poland. The Memory Project was proud to contribute to building knowledge and appreciation of Jewish culture and families in Poland. We partnered with the talented staff of the Galicia Jewish Museum to enable the exhibit to tour Poland two years along with film screenings, workshops and materials for communities, educators and students.
Our friends at the Auschwitz Jewish Center (in Oświęcim, Poland) reached out in 2018 to tell us that they have continued holding Memory Project workshops regularly for students. They use the workshops as an opportunity to learn about the stories of prewar Jewish residents of the town. They put together a video of one of their workshops, and while our Polish language skills aren't that great, we love the video. Thank you to Maciek and Karolina at the Auschwitz Jewish Center for hosting these workshops and for sharing this wonderful video with us.
