Nárcisz Vida of the Zachor Remembrance Foundation led a Memory Project workshop for the students at the Apáczai Csere János School in Budapest, Hungary. Students learned about and drew beautiful portraits of Hungarian subjects, and reflected on their experience:

“I will remember Kalman from the video.”

“I was captivated by the feeling, following the path of light and shadow.”

“[The workshop] presented other points of view and encouraged us to think.”

“”I felt very focused and calm while [drawing]. The black-and-white contrast offered a kind of simplicity, and clarity.”
